"A huge thank you for an extremely pleasant visit to my 'home town'. I have felt so proud that this fabulous place is in ol' O.C. (My parents moved us here in 1959.) I had forgotten how charming 'this side' of town is and so enjoyed my walks with my dog Webster. (Thanks so much for being Dog Friendly!) I will be back to stay with you in the future. Also, I have something a little in common with your house. My Dad was also Mayor of Orange City back in early-mid 80's. We have many friends here & they speak very highly of you both & your B&B."

"We are writing to thank you for our stay at the Alling House. Thank you for doing so much to make us feel welcome and comfortable - starting with greeting us at 2:00am! We enjoyed staying at your lovely home.We are grateful for your delicious breakfasts every morning (even Christmas Day!) and are of your helpful suggestions, and maps, for the nature walks in your area. We had a wonderful vacation, in addition to visiting Brad's parents at John Knox Village. Thank you for all you did to make our stay comfortable and relaxing."

"We had a great time in the Railroad house. The place is very lovely and I can't wait till the next time we come and visit. I love all the trains and antiques. This place is great and I will be telling people to come and visit. We also had friends staying in the Nature house and it also is beautiful. We came for a girls weekend to tour Cassadega and Nan & Gerald were so great. They are very nice people and great cooks. I recommend eating their breakfast."

"Where to begin... The both of you impressed us so much with your anticipation and consideration of all our needs, even before we even knew them ourselves! We came with thoughts of enjoying a nice break away from our daily routine, and to share some laughs with friends, and ended up feeling as though we gained two very special friends in both of you. You touched our hearts indelibly with all your special 'extra touches', generosity, and consideration, often going out of your way to be one step ahead of us in making sure we needed or wanted, including marshmellows for roasting :)! We will always remember our wonderful vacation her with warm hearts, fond memories, and tears of deep gratitude, and heartfelt joy. We will definately recommend this beautiful place and your warm hospitality to everyone we know, and look forward to returning ourselves again soon."

"To say that everyone had a wonderful time would be an understatement. The accommodations were better than expected and you guys redefined hospitality. There is no suggestion we could make to improve on the care and consideration we received. We plan on more trips into this area of Florida and the Alling House B&B will be our choice of a place to stay. Don't get me started on the breakfast because I just couldn't say enough. You guys are the greatest and we know this will be a good year for you."

"How welcome you've made us feel! The lovely period pieces one would normally tip-toe around you have made warm, comfortable and most inviting! We loved your delicious breakfasts which were so beautifully served, not to mention the hot pot of really good coffee outside the door first thing in the morning. You seem to sense when quiet solitude is desired as well as when your always enjoyable conversation is just the pleasure needed. You have spared no detail to make staying here a real joy; we will never stay in an Orange City motel again! May God richly bless you for your many kindnesses to us during our four day stay. We are looking forward to staying here again on our annual trip down next year, and were hoping for smow in Va. so we could stay longer this year!"

"After finding your B&B on the web, I have to admit, you always 'wonder' what you will discover. We discovered a new 'find' that we will surely return to as often as we can! Your home is so beautiful and made us feel so comfortable. Nan - you outdo yourself! Your attention to every little detail is what makes you place so special! The chocolates thoughout, especially the ones for that late night sweet tooth! Coffee sitting outside our bedroom door 1st thing when we woke up! :) Everything! The breakfasts were delicious! mmmm! We needed this weekend getaway more than you can imagine and you both made it a perfect experience. Thank you for the great conversations and sharing your travels with us! We will see you again!"

"Thank you...we have stayed at many B and B's...this was by far the best...VERY CLEAN...any type of breakfast and lots of it and snacks galore...we were treated like a king and a queen...Nan, Gerald and children and son-in-law were available and accomodating with anything we needed and they all made us feel we were very special...other B and B's could learn from this experience...God's Blessings to the Hill family."

"We loved our stay! But most of all we loved you two.After staying for one week and spending the night in each room & cottage, we can honestly say one is just as wonderful as the other.Your home is beautiful and full of love & joy. Who would have ever thought we would go to stay some place where our smallest needs & desires would be met without a word being said. Piano lessons for Leilani, bikes taken out for Darla & Sara (when you heard they might walk down to see their grandpa), towels and beach blanket given to us when you heard we were going to the pond. Unbelievable & unforgettable. We hope many families get a chance to enjoy you and your bed and breakfast"

"We wanted to drop you a note to thank you for making our visit with you last week such a wonderful experience. We had never stayed in a bed and breakfast before and the Alling House was our first. Even without experiencing other B&B's I'm convinced that you have forever spoiled us for any others to come. The house and the rooms are beautiful and tastefully furnished, but that is not the main attraction to your establishment. You two are the heart and soul of Alling House. You made us feel so welcome and took such good care of us while we were there, we didn't want to leave. Words alone cannot ever convey the generosity and kindness that the two of you extend to your guests. We'll probably be back in about a month or so to take care of business in Daytona. Frank asked me, 'Will we stay with Nan and Gerald?' He didn't ask if we would stay at the Alling House, but if we would stay with the two of you. The Alling House itself is an elegant and historical house. but it's the combination of this house with your warmth and hospitality that makes a stay with you so special."
